Here are 6 Asheville Distilleries that are really easy to get to, but you can only visit 5 of them, and this you should do. Asheville has been overrun with breweries for years, but now there are some craft spirit distilleries that you do not want to miss! See this list below:
- Howling Moon Distillery – this is the only one out of the five that does not offer tours & tastings, but you can find their moonshines in local and regional liquor stores.
- Cultivated Cocktails Distillery – they are located right downtown, across from the famed Grove Arcade, and they offer a really great tasting experience that many folks have been raving about.
- Chemist Spirits – this spot is actually located on the south slope of Asheville, which is considered the brewery district, so you can try some brews after, remember liquor before beer and you’re in the clear. Try their Gin, then their Rose Gin that they made with the Biltmore, then lastly their Navy Strength Gin.
- Dalton Distillery – here’s the spot that broke the mold when Asheville didn’t even want to hear the word distillery. They have a great selection of craft spirits and offer tours & tastings on weekends. Make sure you get a photo with Adam Dalton if you can catch him there!
- Eda Rhyne Distilling Company – this location is a hop, skip, and a jump from the Biltmore Estate, so when you have had enough touring and wining over there, come on down here for some amazing craft spirits and cocktails.
- Rye Knot – this amazing spot is actually a brewery, restaurant, and distillery… all in one! And their food is some of the best, if not THE BEST, distillery food that I have ever tasted. Get a full dining & cocktail experience here!
